At 12:12 p.m. Sunday August 31, 2008
West Glens Falls Fire and EMS were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Luzerne road. Car 212 was the first on the scene and confirmed fire to Fire Dispatch. First engine on the scene laid hand lines while a second one tapped a hydrant and laid a 5 inch line to the other engine to support the hand lines.
A fast team was requested, by car 210, from Queensbury Central Fire and Airvan support from South Queensbury Fire. A cover assignment was requested from North Queensbury Fire. Later a request was made for manpower support from South Glens Falls Fire and Bay Ridge Fire. EMS support was provided from West Glens Falls and Bay Ridge Rescue Squads for firefighter support. The West Glens Falls Fire Ladies Auxiliary was dispatched for a Code 40 (water and food) due to heat and length of call.
The fire was quickly extinguished and as of this report is under investigation
